  • The purpose of the session - Preparing for your 'transition' from primary school to secondary school
  • Making the right choices and decisions when you move to 'big school'
  • How to choose the right new friends
  • Exploring the reasons why young people become involved in crime
  • Breaking peer pressure, bullying and antisocial behaviour
  • Addressing the consequences - short and long term - of a police caution, warning or reprimand and a criminal record
  • How easy young offenders - boys and girls - are to catch
  • A virtual trip through life in a young offender unit
  • Your first day in prison, your new 'designer' clothes, your new 'home'  .....  and making new 'friends' 
  • Facts about prison life
  • Joint Enterprise - how you could end up in trouble through the actions of your 'friends'
  • The dangers - and consequences - of carrying knives and other weapons
  • Practical demonstrations of DNA and CCTV surveillance

    Questions are encouraged throughout the duration of the workshop

    Running Time  :  Approximately 90 minutes at a comfortable pace for the students although we can tailor workshops to suit the time slot available
