What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under 3 brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a good amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

Keep in mind: Saatva recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences below. We prepare to evaluate the new version soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is fundamentally durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which might prove practical if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements alter gradually. This is not a conventionally cushy mattress, but it offers a flexible cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness. Given its inherent resilience, the Zenhaven needs to work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These mattresses were also evaluated in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of specialists in the bed mattress market and in products science; checked out lots of mattress factories, stores, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on specs, service warranties, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and accommodating nearly every comfort preference– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Amazon Saatva Reviews
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. However we do understand that the company utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (rather than fiberglass or chemicals) and only organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spine support”; we’re less amazed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and durable foams and coils.
