What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under 3 brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a great quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

Keep in mind: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions listed below. We plan to check the brand-new version soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is intrinsically long lasting. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove valuable if you’re unsure what you prefer or if your needs alter gradually. This is not a traditionally soft bed mattress, but it uses a supple cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Provided its inherent toughness, the Zenhaven must work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for numerous weeks in my own home. These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of professionals in the mattress market and in products science; checked out dozens of bed mattress shops, factories, and display rooms; and pored over the fine print on requirements, guarantees, and return policies. Most recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for several weeks.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. But we do know that the business utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva promotes such bonus as zoned layers for “ideal spinal column support”; we’re less amazed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and resilient foams and coils.
