What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end bed mattress under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

Keep in mind: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions listed below. We plan to evaluate the brand-new variation quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is intrinsically durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove handy if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a conventionally soft bed mattress, however it provides a supple cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness. Given its innate toughness, the Zenhaven needs to work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brands. But we do know that the business utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spine assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and resilient foams and coils.
