What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under 3 brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.
Factors to consider: Dream Bed Lux Lx710 14 Premium Plush Memory Foam Mattress Bed Frame
The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill take in some movement, minimizing how much movement is felt across the surface area of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some movement transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up during the night due to the mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva soaks up a little more movement than the Luxury Company and Company options.
While all of the Saatva firmness choices have pressure-relieving capacity, the quantity of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the mattress will differ based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Luxurious Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and assistance from the Company version.
Note: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the differences listed below. We prepare to evaluate the new version soon and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is inherently resilient. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might show useful if you’re uncertain what you choose or if your requirements change in time. This is not a traditionally cushy bed mattress, however it uses a flexible cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness. Offered its natural sturdiness, the Zenhaven should work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of professionals in the mattress industry and in materials science; gone to dozens of mattress showrooms, shops, and factories; and pored over the fine print on specs, warranties, and return policies.

Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. We do know that the company utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva touts such bonus as zoned layers for “ideal spine assistance”; we’re less amazed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
