What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a good quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

While all of the Saatva firmness choices have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that a specific experiences on the bed mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Luxurious Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Firm version.
Note: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the kind of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions listed below. We prepare to evaluate the brand-new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.

This is not a conventionally soft mattress, but it offers a supple cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for a number of weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve spoken with ratings of specialists in the bed mattress industry and in products science; checked out dozens of mattress factories, shops, and display rooms; and read the small print on requirements, guarantees, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for numerous weeks.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brand names. We do know that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and resilient foams and coils.
