Individuals who are easily woken up when their partner stirs may find the Saatva transfers more movement than ideal People who like the hug of memory foam might not feel the Saatva adheres closely adequate The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. Instead, it uses an extra layer of springs within the
While all of the Saatva firmness alternatives have pressure-relieving potential, the amount of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most press relief on the Plush Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and assistance from the Company variation.
Keep in mind: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences below. We plan to check the new variation quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is fundamentally resilient. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may show handy if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your requirements change gradually. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, but it offers a supple cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness. Offered its inherent durability, the Zenhaven needs to work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for several weeks in my own home. These bed mattress were also assessed in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of professionals in the bed mattress market and in materials science; visited lots of bed mattress stores, display rooms, and factories; and pored over the fine print on requirements, service warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for a number of weeks.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and just organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spinal column support”; we’re less amazed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and resilient foams and coils.
