What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under 3 brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic an excellent amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

Note: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the differences listed below. We plan to check the new version soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might show helpful if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs change over time. This is not a conventionally cushy mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and just organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “ideal spinal column assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and resilient foams and coils.
