What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end bed mattress under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic a great quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.
Considerations: Saatva Remote Control
The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than many hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill take in some motion, minimizing how much movement is felt throughout the surface of the bed. Sleepers might still experience some motion transfer when their partner changes position or gets up during the night due to the bed mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva takes in somewhat more movement than the High-end Firm and Firm alternatives.
While all of the Saatva firmness alternatives have pressure-relieving potential, the quantity of pressure relief that a private experiences on the bed mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most press relief on the Luxurious Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Firm version.
Note: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions below. We plan to evaluate the brand-new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is fundamentally long lasting. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might prove handy if you’re not exactly sure what you choose or if your needs alter in time. This is not a conventionally cushy mattress, however it uses a supple cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Provided its inherent durability, the Zenhaven must work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for a number of weeks in my own home. These mattresses were likewise evaluated in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of specialists in the bed mattress market and in products science; gone to dozens of mattress factories, showrooms, and stores; and read the small print on specs, service warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for several weeks.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with a choice of firmness levels and dealing with almost every comfort preference– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Remote Control

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. We do know that the business uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “optimum spine assistance”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and resilient foams and coils.
