What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic a great quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.
Considerations: Saatva Twin Mattress Sale
The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill absorb some movement, decreasing how much movement is felt throughout the surface of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some movement transfer when their partner changes position or gets up during the night due to the bed mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva takes in a little more motion than the High-end Firm and Firm choices. While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving capacity, the quantity of pressure relief that a specific experiences on the bed mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Luxurious Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and assistance from the Firm variation.
Note: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, altering the kind of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences below. We plan to check the new variation soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is inherently resilient. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which may prove practical if you’re uncertain what you prefer or if your needs change gradually. This is not a conventionally soft mattress, however it provides a flexible cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Provided its innate sturdiness, the Zenhaven must work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These mattresses were also evaluated in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of experts in the bed mattress industry and in materials science; visited lots of mattress factories, showrooms, and stores; and pored over the great print on specs, service warranties, and return policies.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only organic cotton (rather of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spine support”; we’re less impressed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
