What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva focuses on direct-to-consumer high-end bed mattress under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Between these 3 brand names, the company offers numerous bed mattress designs, consisting of the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Perfect for: Individuals with more particular firmness preferences Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples looking for a combination of pressure relief and bounce A lot of online bed mattress are foams or hybrids, so the Saatva Classic stands out. It’s one of the few innerspring bed mattress you can easily buy online. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a great quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. Also, similar to all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva also offers a generous 180-day trial duration and easy returns.

The Saatva’s comfort system utilizes thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill take in some movement, reducing how much motion is felt across the surface area of the bed. Sleepers might still experience some motion transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up during the night due to the bed mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva absorbs a little more motion than the Luxury Company and Company alternatives.
While all of the Saatva firmness alternatives have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the bed mattress will vary based partly on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Luxurious Soft version of the mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Firm variation.
Keep in mind: Saatva recently updated the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the differences listed below. We prepare to test the new version quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might prove useful if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a traditionally soft bed mattress, but it offers a supple cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for several weeks in my own home. These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve interviewed scores of professionals in the mattress market and in materials science; visited lots of bed mattress display rooms, shops, and factories; and pored over the small print on requirements, service warranties, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for a number of weeks.

Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid created for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brand names. However we do know that the business utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (instead of fiberglass or chemicals) and just organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “ideal spinal column assistance”; we’re less amazed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and long lasting foams and coils.
